FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What’s the difference between a Personal Assistant, an Executive Assistant and an Administrative Assistant?
A Personal Assistant typically supports an individual with both personal and professional tasks, such as managing schedules, booking travel, running errands or handling household appointments. An Executive Assistant focuses more on high-level, strategic support to senior executives with greater autonomy and decision-making authority within a business setting, often managing calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing reports and acting as a liaison between executives and other departments. An Administrative Assistant supports an entire office or team with general tasks. Check out this video for a quick summary of each role.
What is Virtual vs Remote Work?
Remote work allows you to work from any location with an internet connection—home, a co-working space, a different city, or a different country. Remote jobs vs work from home differ most in geographic freedom: remote work is location-independent by design, while work from home means working specifically from your residence. Virtual work, while similar to remote work, often implies that the entirety of the job is completed online with no physical office space existing (ie: virtual assistance, website design, digital marketing, or online tutoring). It requires a high level of digital literacy and proficiency in using online platforms and tools. Click here to learn more about key similarities and differences of non-traditional work environments.
“The willingness to keep learning, I think, is the most important thing about trying to be good at anything. You never want to stop learning.”
